Journal of Soil and Water Science is an open access, peer reviewed journal that publishes novel research in various multi-disciplines such as chemistry, physics, biology, ecology of soils, surface waters and wetlands. It also discuses new scope or advancements in inter related disciplines such as soil and aquatic chemistry, hydrology, limnology, soil-plant relations, biogeochemistry, bioremediation, geomicrobiology, contaminant fate and transport, water resources management, hill slope processes, soil genesis, soil mineralogy and geomorphology, etc. The journal brings new insights in the field of soil science and water science encouraging various types of manuscript forms such as original, reviews, rapid communications, opinions, perspectives, commentaries and letters.
International Soil and Water Conservation Research
This journal aims to disseminate new knowledge and promote the practice of soil and water conservation. The scope of International Soil and Water Conservation Research includes research, strategies, and technologies for the prediction, prevention, and protection of soil and water resources. It focuses on identification, characterization, and modeling; dynamic monitoring and evaluation; assessment and management of conservation practices; and the creation and implementation of quality standards. Metrics details. Soil erosion and nutrient depletion have been the major challenges in Ethiopia that adversely affect soil fertility and crop productivity. With the aim of curbing land degradation problems, efforts are underway on the implementation of soil and water conservation SWC practices. This research investigated the effects of SWC practices on soil properties and crop productivity in cultivated lands of Bashe micro-watershed, Wolaita Zone, Southern Ethiopia. Data were collected from five different practices viz. It is concluded that SWC practices have positive impacts on soil and crop productivity of cultivated lands; however, their effect is more pronounced when physical SWC practices are integrated with biological SWC practices and at a longer establishment. Land degradation in the form of soil erosion and fertility depletion is a major challenge in the Ethiopian highlands due to its adverse impacts on crop productivity, food security and natural resource conservation Laekemariam et al.

Once production of your article has started, you can track the status of your article via Track Your Accepted Article. Help expand a public dataset of research that support the SDGs. The journal publishes papers of international significance relating to the science , economics , and policy of agricultural water management. In all cases, manuscripts must address implications and provide insight regarding agricultural water management. Additional topics of interest include interactions between agricultural water management and the environment flooding, soil erosion, nutrient loss and depletion, non-point source pollution, water quality, desertification, and the potential implications of global climate change for agricultural water management , and the institutional and regulatory aspects of agricultural water management water pricing, allocation and competition. Papers in these categories must draw direct and practical linkages to agricultural water management.
Conservation practices to mitigate and adapt to climate change
This journal has two issues in a year and it will be published in April and October. Caraka Tani: Journal of Sustainable Agriculture is an international scientific journal focused on sustainable agriculture. Referring to its name Caraka Tani Caraka : messenger; Tani : farmer, farming, agriculture , Caraka Tani has a mission to convey the messages to the world for carrying agriculture practices in a sustainable manner by paying attention to 3 main aspects of sustainability; namely: environmental health, economic profitability, and social and economic equity. These aspects are expected to be applied with regard to resources, uniqueness and specific wisdom of every region.
Though soil and water conservation SWC technologies have been adopted in Geshy subcatchment, their effects on soil quality were limitedly studied. The studied soils are characterized by low bulk density, slightly acidic with clay and clay loam texture. P at the bottom slope classes and terrace positions could be attributed to the erosion reduction and deposition effects of SWC measures. P deficient. Thus, integral use of both physical and biological SWC options and agronomic interventions would have paramount importance in improving soil quality for better agricultural production and productivity.

Journal of Soil and Water Conservation
The preservation and sustainable development of soil and water resources is one of the basic principles for the development of China. Throughout the course of history, all the social improvement and economic development are deeply concerned with soil loss and ecological environmental protection. It is now a common sense that soil and water conservation is the safety insurance for national ecology and its development.
The fields encompassed include, but are not limited to, the basic and applied soil science, soil hydrology, soil erosion research and control, drought and flood control, soil contamination, land use, wetland restoration and protection, surface and ground water protection in therms of their quantity and quality, good agricultural practices, land consolidation and other measures for improving and protecting soils and all other elements of the environment in small agricultural and forested catchments. Socio-economic issues are not excluded. The journal is open to authors from all parts of the world irrespective of their professional background and affiliation. Papers are published in English.
